UNESCO World Heritage Site
This sprawling park area showcases the splendor of the ancient Kingdom of Ayutthaya, which flourished from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park preserves the ruins of this once-thriving capital, with its temples, palaces, courtyards and city walls.

Chao Sam Phraya National Museum
The museum’s exhibits offer a fascinating insight into the cultural and historical developments of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. It displays ancient pottery, sculptures, gold treasures, and royal regalia, that reflect the grandeur of the period.

Bang Pa-In Palace
Bang Pa-In Palace, also known as the Summer Palace, is a stunning royal residence located just outside the historic city of Ayutthaya. Originally built during the reign of King Prasat Thong in the 17th century, the palace complex was expanded and renovated by subsequent monarchs, particularly King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in the late 19th century. The palace is a blend of Thai, Chinese, and European architectural styles, with beautifully landscaped gardens, pavilions and buildings.

​Arts of the Kingdom Museum
This exceptional cultural institution is dedicated to showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of Thailand’s royal history. The museum focuses on the exquisite works created for royal palaces, temples, and ceremonies, highlighting the skill and beauty of Thai artisans. Exhibits include intricate textiles, ceramics, wood carvings, and sculptures, with many pieces reflecting the golden age of Ayutthaya’s cultural and artistic achievements.

 

Khlong Takhian Muslim Community

This ancient canal area during the Ayutthaya era, was home to significant Cham and Malay Muslim communities, who formed part of a broader Muslim presence in the city. These Muslim inhabitants were broadly divided into three groups: Indo-Malay Sunnis living outside the city walls, Sunni Muslims from the western Islamic world, and an Indo-Iranian Shiʿite group residing within the city’s core. Possessing important ferry landings and naval dockyards, became an integrated Muslim administrative and residential zone closely tied to Ayutthaya’s naval, trade, and administration.
